The EU and Australia agreed on a shared economic future

The EU and Australia concluded negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement in  March 2026 which will deepen economic ties and create a more stable foundation for trade and investment.

WHY IT MATTERS

Free Trade Agreements remove tariffs, ease regulations, and opens door to the world’s largest single market – the European Union, making it easier to trade, invest and grow, It strengthens supply chains, and supports jobs and long-term growth, while offering greater stability in a shifting global economy. The agreement includes commitments on sustainability, labour rights and climate.

WHAT’S DRIVING IT?
