EU and Qantas partner to award Australia journalists

The EU and Qantas Journalist Award, in partnership with the National Press Club, has recognized excellence in Australian journalism since 1992.

WHY IT MATTERS

Every year the EU Delegation to Australia awards an Australian journalist working in the Australian media with a ten day working visit to the European Union in Brussels and up to 3 European Union Member States.

WHAT’S DRIVING IT?

The award comes at a critical time in global geopolitics, when the bilateral relations between the EU and Australia are growing extensively. Australia has made a significant contribution to support Ukraine, and by extension, Europe, democracy and the rules based order globally.

LOOKING AHEAD

The aware has been awarded since 1992. Qantas, a founding partner, provides a business class fare for the travelling journalist and the National Press Club of Australia plays a crucial role in the evaluation of applications.
